Engineered for Remote Performance

Purpose-built for diagnostic imaging environments, this system combines calibrated performance, workflow efficiency, and long-term serviceability in a fully integrated solution.

CL8MPS32C AFS CFS

Automated DICOM Calibration with CFS Enterprise Software

Hands-Free Calibration for the Home Reading Environment

Remote reading demands the same standard of calibration compliance as any hospital workstation — and CFS Calibration Suite® delivers exactly that, without requiring a physicist on-site or manual intervention from the radiologist. Paired with the Attachable Front Sensor, CFS Calibration Suite® continuously monitors and corrects luminance and grayscale output, keeping the display aligned to DICOM standards automatically — on a schedule that works around your reading workflow, not against it.

For home readers managing their own equipment, CFS Calibration Suite® removes the administrative burden of QA compliance entirely. Automated performance tracking, scheduled calibration routines, and enterprise-grade reporting tools are all included — giving solo practitioners and enterprise teleradiology groups alike the documentation they need for regulatory confidence.

Attachable Front Sensor (AFS)

Precision Calibration with AFS - Accurate, Automated Luminance Measurement — No External Equipment Needed

AFS brings calibration accuracy directly to the home reading environment. Rather than relying on external photometers or scheduled service visits, AFS comes mounted directly to the display.  AFS works in tandem with CFS software to measure luminance output at the panel surface — then corrects automatically to maintain DICOM conformance.

Double Black Imaging designed AFS for radiologists who need calibration they can trust without the complexity of managing it themselves.

Optimized Viewing Conditions for Diagnostic Environments

Most consumer-grade and entry-level displays fail to reach the 350 cd/m² calibrated luminance, the ACR-AAPM-SIIM Technical Standard for diagnostic interpretation. This 32″, virtually bezel-less 8MP display is engineered to meet that threshold — and maintain it over time — making it one of the few displays on the market genuinely suited to full-time home reading without regulatory compromise.

The wide, nearly seamless 32″ panel provides the screen real estate radiologists need to review multiple series without panning or zooming, while the virtually bezel-less design eliminates visual disruption between image sets. Whether handling a full day of reads or overnight coverage, this display is built to perform with the consistency and compliance your practice depends on.

8MP Remote Reading FAQs

Can I use this display for diagnostic reading from home?

Yes. This display is FDA-cleared for diagnostic use and engineered specifically to meet the performance requirements of remote reading environments. It delivers the calibrated luminance, resolution, and DICOM compliance that meet the ACR-AAPM-SIIM Technical Standard.  This ensures remote reading stations meet the same standard applied to hospital-based reading workstations.

Yes. The ACR-AAPM-SIIM Technical Standard for Electronic Practice of Medical Imaging is a minimum calibrated luminance of 350 cd/m² for diagnostic displays used in radiology interpretation. This display meets that threshold and — critically — maintains it over time through automated luminance correction via the Attachable Front Sensor and CFS Calibration Suite®. Many consumer-grade and lower-tier displays cannot reach or sustain 350 cd/m², making them non-compliant for diagnostic use.

The Attachable Front Sensor (AFS) is a calibration device designed by Double Black Imaging and comes mounted directly to the front of the display.  AFS measures actual luminance output at the panel surface. Working in conjunction with CFS Calibration Suite®, it automates the calibration process entirely — no external photometer, no service visit, no manual adjustment required. For radiologists reading from home, this means DICOM compliance is maintained continuously without any additional effort or equipment.

Yes. DBI offers complete home reading workstation bundles that pair this display with a configured CPU, Ergonomic workstations, and all necessary cables and software — tested and integrated at our Colorado facility before shipping. Everything arrives ready to connect and read. Contact DBI for current bundle configurations and pricing.

Resolution determines how much image data can be displayed at full size without panning or zooming. At 8MP, this display can accommodate the image layouts radiologists are accustomed to in the reading room — multiple series side by side, full chest images without downsampling, and detailed review of high-resolution modalities like DR and CT. Lower-resolution displays force compromise in how images are presented, which can slow workflow and increase the risk of missed findings.

This display is compatible with all major PACS platforms and operates with standard DisplayPort and HDMI connectivity. CFS software integrates with your existing IT infrastructure and does not require PACS-specific configuration. If you have questions about a specific PACS environment, DBI's USA-based support team can advise on setup and compatibility before purchase.

Consumer displays — even high-resolution ones — are not calibrated to DICOM standards, do not maintain consistent luminance over time, and are not FDA-cleared for diagnostic interpretation. Using a non-medical display for primary reads creates both a patient safety risk and a regulatory exposure. This display is purpose-built for diagnostic use, with automated calibration, documented compliance reporting, and the luminance stability that diagnostic reading demands.

Yes. DBI offers a full range of FDA-cleared diagnostic displays suited to home and teleradiology reading, including 3MP, 5MP, 6MP, and 12MP configurations. Each meets the ACR-AAPM-SIIM luminance and calibration requirements for off-site diagnostic use and includes CFS Calibration Suite® for automated DICOM compliance. Whether you need a compact single-display setup or a high-resolution dual-modality workstation, DBI can match the right display to your reading volume, modality mix, and physical workspace. Contact our USA-based team for a personalized recommendation!

They don't — and when it comes to patient care, they should not. The ACR-AAPM-SIIM Technical Standard for Electronic Practice of Medical Imaging holds remote readers to the same performance standard as on-site radiologists. The display should meet a minimum calibrated luminance of 350 cd/m² for general radiology and 420 cd/m² for mammography, conform to DICOM Part 14 grayscale calibration, and maintain that performance consistently over time. Ambient lighting in the reading environment must also be controlled. The standard makes no distinction between where the read takes place — only that the equipment and conditions meet the same clinical threshold. A display that cannot be calibrated, verified, and documented to those specifications is not compliant for primary diagnostic interpretation, regardless of its price or resolution.
